Testimonials

"The greatest gift is the recommendation of our services to others"

Thank You!

Dear LogHoggers,

Every year when we attend the N.A.F.M. Convention we try to think of new attractions to bring to our County Fair.  The Fair Board in 2002 decided to bring a chainsaw artist to entertain the crowd that year.  After 6 years, the carvers from LogHoggers continue to be a huge attraction for us.  With successful auction of all the items, this turns out to be a break even or sometime a profitable attraction for us.

We just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with LogHoggers and look forward to seeing you in 2008.

Duane Windhorst - Treasurer

THE OTOE COUNTY AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY, INC.  Syracuse, Nebraska

Dear R.D. & Vicki and LogHoggers,

Greetings!  This letter is just to let you know that because of your generosity toward youth served by Quincy Young Life, you will be recognized at the 2007 YL Golf Benefit!  It is always such a wonderful, beautiful day for all who play golf.  Everyone has such a good time and a great cause is promoted!

You will be recognized with a beautiful sign made by Signs in Time posted on a green and each golfer and helper will receive a program listing you as a Young Life sponsor!  We want the community to know you support the good cause of Young Life and the young people we reach through our ministries of Sr. High Young Life, Wyldlife and young lives Mentor Moms!  We will save your sign in hopes you will sponsor the YL Diamond Sponsor next year too!

At the end of the day, prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams, as well as closest to the pin and so on.  Someone may even win a car for a hole-in-one!  BUT, everyone, including yourself receives the greatest prize of all:  The prize of benefiting Young Life; a great, life changing program for teens here in Quincy!  Thanks again and again!

Gratefully,

Christy Bakker / Young Life Area Director

Young Life Quincy, Illinois

Dear R.D.:

Thank you so much for your generosity in donating the dolphin carving for annual raffle.  Our raffle drawing and carry-in were held recently, and the carving was won by Nelliemay Shay.

The raffle has proven to be a continuously successful venture for your program, but we would not be able to accomplish our goal without the support of people like you.  We certainly appreciate your support of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.

Sincerely,

Carla J. Gosney / Director

Adams County RSVP Quincy, Illinois

Dear LogHoggers:

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Children's Action Network, I extend to you our gratitude and deepest appreciation for your donation of the bear wood carving and two    t-shirts for our April 29, 2006 gourmet dinner.  The dinner was a big success again this year. Our profit was over $13,000.

Because of the generosity of individual like you, we are able to continue our mission of advocating for abused and neglected children.  Last year the 46 Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) volunteers advocated for 135 children abused or neglected children in the Adams County court system.  The Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) program advocated for child victims of sexual abuse or serious physical abuse in seven counties in 2005 and has served over 1200 children since opening in 1999.

Once again, I want to thank you for your generosity.  It is through your support that we continue to make a difference, one child at a time.

Sincerely,

Clairice Hetzler / Executive Director

Children's Action Network Quincy, Illinois

Dear Mr. Coonrod,

First, let me congratulate you on the successful weekend of chainsaw carving in Clatt Adams Park.  We attended on Sunday and we're just amazed at the creativity and skill demonstrated by these artisans.

Second, I would like to thank you for your support of the 4-H program. The time you spent with Burton Flyers in giving a carving demonstration is still being talked about by the youth.  There are several in that 4-H club that enroll in Woodworking and exhibited some very nice pieces at the 4-H Show on the fairgrounds.

Finally, our program is very appreciative of the chainsaw carving donations made to auction on the fairgrounds.  Randy Frese bought two pieces to benefit Adams County 4-H.  The eagle in particular was my favorite!  Your generosity means a lot to our program.

Once again, thank you.

Sincerely,

Sharon Knorr/ 4-H Program Coordinator

University of Illinois Extension Quincy, Illinois

A special thanks from the Secretary of The Burton Flyers 4-H Club

Mr. Coonrod,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share with our club on how to do chainsaw carving and making us a bear.  We enjoyed visiting your shop and watching the demonstration.

Thanks,

Zach Roberts / Secretary

Dear R.D.,

Thank you so very much for the 2 eagles you donated recently to our Abate functions.  The one went to state which raised a lot of money for the convention and one was raffled at our party.  A true success!

The Chapter has voted you as an Honorary Corporate Sponsor for the up coming year 2007. This is the Great River A.B.A.T.E.'S way of saying thank you for all the support you have given and or shown in the years past and present.  Know that the entire Chapter appreciates all you have done.

Thanks again,

Jake Stroot / Activity Coor.

Dear LogHoggers,

It was very generous of you to donate to the Quincy District Family Picnic held in June 2005 at upper Moorman Park.  Your gift made our picnic a great success with our members and their families.  The night was filled with fun and laughter and a great time was had by all.

Since we have the support of our great Quincy area business's like yours, the attendance at our picnic has grown to between 250 and 300 Quincy residents.  We appreciate your support and generosity.  We make every effort to make sure our members know that your business helped make this picnic possible.

Thank you, for your support.

Yours truly,

Dear Mr. Coonrod,

Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy schedule to come up to Camp Saukenouh and demonstrate your skill with chainsaw sculptures.  The totem pole you created looks great and from what I hear from the Scout Masters and Camping Committee members the boys enjoyed your presentation.  Again thanks for giving your time to enrich the scouts experience.

Yours,

John Hummel / Fox District Camping Committee Chairman

Dear LogHoggers,

On behalf of all the animals still seeking their forever, loving home, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your very generous donation to the Quincy Humane Society.  Being our largest fundraiser of the year, The Mutt Strut enables us to continue with our vital mission in this community.  Your donation allows us to continue being an advocate for the voiceless ones who brighten our lives, pull at our hearts, and teach us the art of unconditional love.  We anticipate seeing you at this fantastic event next year!

Thank you very much for the donation.
